New Power Youth Internship - Social Welfare Science and Education

Against the backdrop of promoting the integration and development of Hong Kong and the mainland through policies in the Greater Bay Area, the "New Power Youth Internship Programme - Social Welfare Education Chapter" has officially begun. This programme aims to help Hong Kong youth achieve breakthroughs in personal growth and career development through internships.

 

Programme Date: 24th May, 2025 - July 4th, 2025; 12th July, 2025 - 22nd August, 2025

Date of pre departure supporting activities: 17th-19th May, 2025 (tentative)

Age Group: 18-30 years old (calculated based on the day of departure to mainland China)

Suitable for:

  • Hold a valid Hong Kong permanent resident identity card, or
  • Hold a valid Hong Kong resident identity card and study full-time courses in Hong Kong

Programme location: Guangdong Province

Internship fees: 

Free (offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner; transportation; accommodation)

Note: During the internship, valid invoices must be presented for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is a maximum cost limit for each meal; Participants are responsible for their own transportation expenses between their accommodation and internship location, as well as during non group activities on holidays

Internship deposit *: HK$2,000

Note: Participants are required to pay a HKD 2,000 internship deposit. Participants must attend all events, including pre departure supporting activities in Hong Kong, non working day events arranged during the internship period, supporting activities in Hong Kong after returning, and submit all activity reports, in order to receive a refund of the deposit. If you give up participating in the programme midway or fail to meet the attendance requirements or report submission requirements, you will not be refunded the deposit.

  • Download the application form from the attachment and fill it out. Email the completed application form to pf.sze@hkeds.org on or before 5:30 PM on 30th May, 2025
  • The quota is limited and will expire once it is filled
